Jesus was a miracle worker who was bestowed with powers from God that enabled him to help the poor, women, those deemed unclean, racial enemies, and even oppressors. The Holy Bible mentions 37 miracles of Jesus which include:
Jesus Healed the Possessed Ones
The demon-possessed daughter of a gentile woman was healed by Jesus. He also cured a boy with an unclean spirit and miraculously cast demons into a herd of pigs.
Jesus Brings Back the Dead to Life
Jesus raised a widow’s dead son in Nain before his execution in Jerusalem. He also raised Jairus’s daughter from the dead, and brought Lazarus back to life four days after his entombment in Bethany.
Jesus Healed the Sick and Oppressed
Jesus healed the whole of humanity with his miracles — from Peter’s mother-in-law who was struck by fever to a woman who suffered blood complications, and those with dropsy, paralytics, and leprosy were all cured by Jesus. He would spend his evenings healing the oppressed — he healed the servant with a severed ear during the arrest; the man with a withered hand on the Sabbath; the man declared invalid; and the woman who had been crippled for over 18 years. He also enabled the blind to see, the mute to speak, and the deaf to hear.
Jesus Miracles against Nature
The first of Jesus’s miracles occurred at a wedding in Cana when he turned water into wine. He also miraculously caught a fish on the lake of Gennesaret and the Sea of Tiberias. The temple tax the mouth of a fish, the calming of the sea storm in the sea, walking on water, and wither trees were all miracles that proved that Jesus was greater than any ordinary man. However, the incident most regarded in the four Gospels is the feeding of 5,000 people with loaves and fish.
