A lot of Christians today feel hopeless about their illnesses. This is a sign of weak faith. You should always have belief in the healing miracles of Jesus. Jesus healed many people with incurable diseases during His time and continues to do so today. Here are some stories in the Bible of Jesus healing the sick.
The woman who kept bleeding
Biblical reference: Matthew 9:20-22
Once a woman came up to Jesus with blood issues. She had been bleeding for twelve years.
The woman thought if she could only touch Jesus’ clothes, she would be cured of her illness. At that moment, Jesus told her: “You are now healed because of your faith.”
The woman healed there and then.
Centurion’s Servant
Biblical reference: Matthew 8:5-13
Palsy was a paralyzing disease that killed anyone within days.
Once a centurion’s servant fell victim to this illness. Incidentally, Jesus was in Capernaum those days where the man lived. When the centurion got to know this, he wished the Lord would heal his servant.
Jesus agreed to visit him, but the centurion was very humble and said he didn’t deserve the Lord’s presence in his house. However, he was also aware of Jesus’s healing power even from miles away. So, the man put his faith in Lord Jesus, and that’s when his servant was healed.
Two blind men
Biblical reference: Matthew 9:27-31
There are numerous accounts in the Bible of Jesus healing the blind. However, one particularly stands out.
Once two men heard that Jesus had raised a girl from the dead. Following this, they approached Jesus, begging the Lord to heal their condition.
Jesus asked if they had faith He could health them. The men answered in affirmative. Jesus merely touched them, and the blind men were healed forever.
The deaf man
Biblical reference: Mark 7:31-37
Once, someone bought a deaf man to Jesus. After understanding the man’s condition, He looked up to Heaven. It symbolizes Him asking for powers from the heavens. Next, he spoke an Aramaic word, “Ephphta,” which translates to “to open.”
Perhaps, Jesus said this because he wanted to open the man’s ears and liberate his tongue. The Bible mentions that the man was healed and got the ability to speak plainly through Jesus’ miracle.
